Dr. Hopp is absolutely amazing. The staff does the best they can with an enormous client/patient load that was previously handled by two doctors but is now seen by one doctor. Dr. Hopp can only see so many animals a day. The receptionists are frequently being talked down to and yelled at (often times with profanity) by unhappy clients. It's only natural if they occasionally match attitudes. Price are going up everywhere - this includes medical supplies and vaccines. It only makes sense that the prices in the offices are going to go up too. The office cannot charge less than they are paying when they still have overhead expenses too. Also, this office is NOT a walk in office and is not currently taking new clients/patients. This office has one full time doctor only. Dr. Schnabel still works there but as a surgeon only. Having one doctor on with a full schedule means that walk in emergencies are difficult to handle. Please also consider that because this office in NOT an emergency clinic there are NOT all the necessary equipment/staff that an emergency clinic would have i.e. - a full time surgeon, oxygen cage, ultrasonography (they are fortunate enough to have access to ultrasound but only one or two days a month). Also, this office doesn't discriminate against smokers or vapers UNLESS you are doing so in the office/waiting room. That behavior is against office policies AND against the LAW. Furthermore, using profanity towards staff/doctors, threatening violence and failure to follow office policies may result in termination of services.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. I rushed my puppy here in an emergency, desperately seeking help. I was met by a very polite woman who could see my concern, she took my dog and rushed her in. I got to the front window and the woman working there was blatantly rude. Everyone was acting as if me and my dog were a burden. They sent me home with antibiotics and hours later my dog passed away at another vet office (who actually tried to help her) if they had tried, or told me they didn’t have time to help her i would have taken her elsewhere. They left me with no directions other than antibiotics and take her in the shower. Her lungs were filling with fluids, she was in obvious pain and struggling to breathe and they told me to take her home. They also told me to call back with an update, i attempted to call back repeatedly for over an hour before they closed and got no answer. I did not get through to anyone until the following Monday. I then told the lady who answered that the dog had passed away and i got a forced “I’m sorry” and “I’ll let the doctor know”. No concern at all, or sympathy for the fact they didn’t help her or do their job to save her. It was a waste of $450 and i, nor my family, will ever go back. They need a new staff that knows some customer service.

My male dog was 99 1/2lbs and it would have been about $400. Most of the cost is for anesthesia so the lighter the animal the cheaper
They are wonderful pepole. They care about your pets. My Jake will be 8 years old in April and if it wasn't for Weedsport Animal Hospital he would not be here with me today. He caught Parvo at 4 months old and with a pray and wonderful drs, they saved him. All my babies go there, would go anyplace else.
no they don't go online to friends of animals you can get a certificate there
