Hi there! If you have an existing line of credit with us, or a loan and would like to increase your available credit you must speak with either Chris or Carlos who are our loan officers. You can find their numbers on our website or stop by at one of our locations and our member service staff would be more than happy to assist you in setting up an appointment with them. Thank You, Zach Ott Executive Assistant - Syracuse Cooperative Federal Credit Union

Are these accounts secure. Can they be frozen by debt collectors?

I have never had that happen at any bank or credit union. The debt collector would have to take you to court and get a judges order and most times the expense of that would be way more than the debt is worth so they just write it off. I might also add that the debt is NOT secured by the account unless an agreement was signed by you. The only one that would secure your account would be if the debt eas owed to Cooperative Federal themselves.
