We've been going there for years, and this year they apparently changed their business model. You can no longer just go buy a bag, pick apples, and fill it. They now require all kids that go in to purchase a wrist band that lets them do all the other stuff (hay ride, slides, maze, etc). Previous years it was just an option in addition to the picking bags. In addition, they require every adult to purchase a picking bag. So if you just want a small bag to share, that's not an option either. Serious money grab now.

Went today with my boyfriend and 4 kids. Saw online a bunch of confusion with the new prices. Abbots posted themselves that you could just buy a bag for apples and that you didn't have to buy a wristband for the kids to do activities if you were just doing apples. WRONG. We were told by multiple employees we has to pay for the wristbands to do the activities when my kids didn't even want to do them. All we wanted was to pick apples. We would have spent over $150 today in wristbands and a bag for apples. We drove out and waited in line to be told thr exact opposite of what Abbots is claiming online. I messaged them on Facebook and got blocked. So unprofessional. Won't be getting my business again!!

I've been coming here for years and have always been pleased with the variety of applies, activities, foods, etc... that they offer. Now, it's a requirement for each individual person to buy a bag and get a band to even enter! You can enter the store, but cannot participate in anything until you pay the minimum of $15 a person. My wife and I only need a peck of apples, and $15 each for each peck is outrageous. We will be looking elsewhere for our apples from now on.

I go to abbots year. This year it was way over priced, the apples aloud to pick were picked out and still charged full price even tho the apples were mostly rotted.. the lady's were rude.. never again..

Unsure when they start, but today 9/17, these were not on the list for picking.
Yes
Yes, 3.00 a pint going quickly hurry up and get them
I can't speak for the owner but I was there on Sunday June 20th and the strawberries were almost picked through. Unless there is another patch somewhere it's likely there wouldn't be much left by this weekend.
They just posted on Facebook that it started this week! Not sure the hours though
Yes. Lots of macintosh
Right now, but you had to register first...they may do it again this Tuesday (7/7/2020) but you have to call Abbott Farms & register on Monday (7/6/2020)
Early July - Early Sept 2020 depending on weather & field conditions Public Tip: the darker blue they are, the sweeter they are & the more lighter, reddish hue even, they are, the more sour they are
It certainly is !
They do. When you are at the raspberry site it's the beginning aisles where you come in. The guy at the hut described them as "black raspberry" since I mistaken them as black berries.
They are not ready yet but we have many pickers that come each week to add to their supply. We have Five different varieties that ripen at different times through the rest of July and August
Towards the end of strawberries. So soon. Sign up on our website for email news list and we will tell you
We started strawberries Saturday so the whole season is before us ! Call for daily conditions. We actually closed Sunday because of all the picking Saturday. We let the fields recover but today we are picking again.
June 6-10 is the estimate. follow us on facebook at abbottfarmsny or instagram abbott.farms or sign up for our email newsletter at abbottfarms.com. Then we we will let you now when.
I do not know, we are in upstate NY
We do not. They are not profitable to grow. We have 20 Ounce Pippin for that purpose and are sold out. Another great cooking apple is JonaGold, it has the density but it is sweeter. Blending it with IdaRed is a more tart combination. Or with Nittany for a mid tart or Crispin for a sweet combination. Always blend similar firmness varieties for a bigger flavor. Otherwise I will be able to tell what variety you used :-)
Can I pick Macintosh app.es this week6
Meat, cheese curd fruit, vegetables, and cider along with amazing ice cream and baked goods.
They are out there and orange. We expect to start seeing sales this weekend. If you had to have one this week, we can make it work. The longer they stay on the vine, the more likely they will make it to Halloween.
We post a newsletter weekly on Facebook. Here is last week's. You can bring a small dog, but not around the petting farm animals area, and not inside the store.
$9 us for wristband and includes all activities (ex. Corn maze, hay rides, slide, petting zoo) excludes consession and food for feeing animals (25Cents). Kids 2 and under are free. You can also purchase tickets to activities separately. If you plan to do 3+ activities, it makes sense to get wristband
You need to call them to see what is available some are no longer available for picking
I dont think that is on a bus route
