Before I recently moved out I did not have many complaints about Tocco Villaggio Apartments. I lived in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment for almost five years. I was absolutely dumbfounded when I received my security deposit back after moving out and seeing all the comments. The comments made me think they went into the wrong apartment. When moving out they sent out a laundry list of things you needed to do. One thing was to use the self-cleaning option on the oven and to not use a chemical cleaner. A few days before I moved I cleaned the oven as they directed me to do so. Everyone who knows me knows I rarely cook. I barely ever used the oven but obviously had the normal “wear and tear” if that. They marked that the oven was “filthy” because of the ashes. They also worded the oven drawer to be “filthy” although I had never opened the bottom drawer of the oven, truly never opened it. They also charged me $525 to re-paint the walls. You mean to tell me they weren’t going to be re-painted after someone living in this apartment for almost five years? The comment said there was a “black substance” on all the walls, which of course there was not. For anyone who knows me knows I am an organized, clean, put-together person. The fact that I have never had a complaint in the five years I lived there, paid my monthly rent early, and was quiet and kept to myself should be enough reason to respect their tenant. When I first moved in in 2016 the monthly rent was $1,100. Before I left the rent was up to $1,300. Each time I renewed my lease the monthly rent increased and nothing more was being done to the apartment premises. Myself and the rest of the residents in Tocco Villaggio were promised a swimming pool, a workout room, and outside common areas throughout the years. When I moved out, none of these things existed even after multiple people complained. The week before I moved out I was cleaning nonstop (even though my apartment was honestly spotless). Since I am a registered nurse I work twelve hour shifts and couldn’t help clean the day after I moved out. My family had gone to my apartment again and made sure everything was cleaned and left in perfect condition. I was appalled when they called my apartment filthy and I remain extremely angry. This is not only untrue but it disrespects me as a person and a loyal tenant. I have heard and read about this family (Alberici’s) being money hungry and not caring about their tenants and I now see this through and through. This company is only out to help themselves and looks for more reasons to get more money. I will forever discourage people from renting or using any of this families facilities due to their uncompassionate mannerisms and disrespect for their tenants.
