The team at Heartland Equine hospital is amazing! We recently took our 25 year old pony to them for help with a severe hoof infection. As we feared, given his long-standing hoof problems, there was nothing to be done but to euthanize him as gently as possible. They helped us braid and cut off his mane and tail for remembrance and gave us treats to feed him. When we went outside to say goodbye, they let us have all the time we needed with him. Then the vet made sure he went down gently with anaesthesia and that he was comfortable, and waited until my daughter gave the word to send him on his way over the rainbow bridge. He comforted my daughter by telling her she made the right decision, and that he would have done the same had it been his pony. It's never easy to say goodbye to the best friend you've had since you and he were both 5 years old. The team at Heartland, with their caring and compassion, made a world of difference to us. RIP Patch. We will miss you!

Special thanks to Heartland Equine Hospital for their kindness and genuinely caring today. Even though the outcome wasn't what I had so desperately hoped for they are the best. I will go to them again. They are reasonably priced, have a beautiful facility and genuinely care. They are patient and kind and Dr. Carlson is fantastic. They go above and beyond for both horse and owner and understand how we feel about our horses. Need a specialist? Go to Heartland Equine Hospital. We drove an hour and a half and I'd do it again. I am not sure what you mean by intolerance in the credit care system. But I use my Care Credit account or my debit card to pay all the time. Hope this answers your question!
A PPE can vary greatly, are you going to want xrays or sonograms of anything if the horse tests positive?
