I went to Dr Caruthers a few years ago and he helped clear my skin! However, since he is retired does anyone know if he assigned anyone else to take his spot? Any recommendations of African American dermatologist will help! Thank you!

I've been going to Dr Caruther's for almost 30 years! He helped me with various skin issues:) He even helped me pay for flattening my keyloids with steroid injections (when the insurance wouldn't pay:) The insurance considered that "cosmetic" but Dr Caruther's begged to differ:) However... It is VERY unfortunate that 3 out of the 4 Dermatologists he has listed as referrals have BAD reviews😖...and one has no personal reviews yet...but the office has bad reviews... What are we gonna do without YOU?!

MY NAME IS TERRIA JENKINS AND I JUST FOUND OUT THAT DOCTOR BERTRAM CARUTHERS Jr RETIRED,ON THIS DATE FEBRUARY 14, 2022. Dr. Carruthers is an exceptional doctor! He did not treat only Black people I have seen such a variety of people with different nationalities in his office for at least 30 years. When I would go see Dr. Carruthers we talked in detail about what my medical problem/issue was, but most importantly Lynn Dr. Carruthers checked my medical list he always knew what I was giving the medicine for and if I was having additional problems or problems with the medication he would take his time and explain this to me as well as going back to my doctor that had ordered the medication. He did not interfere with he did not interfere with what I had been prescribed but he was so conscientious that when I had gone to the doctor and they gave me a certain medication or else did not refer me to another doctor, Dr. Carruthers would refer me to another dog for additional medical help when it was necessary. When I would go to Dr. Carruthers and I had a situation that what is bothering me he will explain the date situation to my understanding. WHENEVER I WENT TO DOCTOR CARUTHERS I WAS SECURE IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT HE TREATED THE WHOLE PERSON! HE CANNOT BE REPLACED AND I DON’T KNOW WHERE I WILL GO NOW!!

I have went to him everywhere since and was a little kid and my kids have went to him for care. I would recommend this skin doctor. He is one of the best.
