Love this place. I drive from the other side of town to bring my cats here. They listen to our concerns and really seem to care about our pets.

It's been months since I visited KC Cat Clinic - I have waited a long time thinking about what to say, if anything at all. Everyone there clearly cares about cats and their care and are experts, and so all I would say is that anyone visiting should be prepared with their thoughts on cats and blood pressure monitoring and medicating. I am a doting cat owner and she has seen some of the best vets in Chicago, including specialists, and never has anyone mentioned blood pressure. I was surprised when I came for my cat's first visit when we spent nearly the entire time focused on this, despite my main interest being supporting her comfort as an elderly cat and doing what I can given that she has a congenital spinal defect that may make things more difficult for her. I felt like I tried to guide the conversation back to other topics, but I was so taken by surprise that I wasn't effective at it. So, that would be my only caveat - just expect this and gather your thoughts on this in advance so that you can steer the conversation back to your main focus, if you have one. Otherwise, they were fine!

Unfortunately no, but we do accept Care Credit and Scratchpay!
You can call and ask.
As with any vet, it depends on the blood test you're wanting.
We do not perform that procedure because of the chronic pain and long-term behavioral problems it can create. Because the pain often manifests itself in the litter box, we often see declawed cats ending up with issues of going outside the litter box and no one wants that! Since scratching is a natural cat behavior, we have lots of ways of managing it without declawing. To learn more, visit the American Association of Feline Practitioners' great website: https://www.catvets.com/public/PDFs/PositionStatements/2017-DeclawingStatement.pdf or give us a ring to make an appointment!
