Have never written a negative google review before but for the amount of stress they caused both myself and my family, this is worth the time. Was just needing to cash out a small investment account and it took 8 months and countless phone calls, attempts to go into the branch and emails. On several trips to the branch, there were other customers trying the same things as we were and even more frustrated us. Endless wait times on the phone, they continued to mis-enter information so phone numbers, addresses and emails could never be verified because they would send verifications to the wrong numbers, and we received different information every time we called. We considered just letting the money go because it was taking up too much of our time trying to get through to someone. There are a billion financial institutions that do the exact same thing as Fidelity and I would venture to guess, almost every single one of them can provide a more professional and seamless interaction than Fidelity can. Save yourself the stress and avoid them at all costs.

I would think the 1800 number should help. I know when I walked in the office they had a representative live on an iPad.
