Still my favorite place to go to see a movie. Reasonably priced, clean and a smaller intimate setting ( usually kid free). Been a while since I was there. Their greatest plus has turned into their biggest downside- the concession stand. What happened to the baked goods, teas, etc. ? $ 8.00 for a very small popcorn..big time sticker shock.. still better than most around the Tri city area.

Perfect, small movie theater. We go for the artsy titles, sometimes for a box office hit. You must have their popcorn made with real butter! Our favorite place for date night.

I had an ok experience today. Some of the reviews talk about how this is an older theater and you get the experience that goes along with that. One problem I had with the theater screen was that it seemed to be projecting either slightly up or even if it was flat, the seats were low enough it was a little difficult seeing the screen properly. Others have commented on the popcorn with the use of real butter and price being better than the movie chains. The real butter was great, but nine dollars for a large I think is more expensive than the movie theater as well as a smaller amount. You even get the free refill at the larger movie theaters. It lasted me just fine for my movie, I’m sure if I was sharing with somebody we would run out and want more. Perhaps this is a New York thing, but I’m used to discount day movies being more of a discount.

I've been away from home for two years now, and one of the places I'm most excited to return to is The Spectrum. The theatre has an old-school, homey feel. The concession stand offers your typical movie theatre staples PLUS delicious baked goods. However, the best part of the Spectrum is the movies they select to show. Everything from blockbusters to independent films, but no matter what, you can expect quality films to be playing here. As a friend of mine once said, "Anything worth seeing is playing at the Spectrum!"

It doesn't yet show on Landmarks website, but that might change. Check back next week for sure.
Some larger and them some smaller capacity. 50 probably the smallest
You can get tickets online: https://www.landmarktheatres.com/albany-ny/spectrum-8-theatres
Not sure. Call the theater. Staff is excellent.
Still in the 1st lot anyway.
