20/10. I really had a great experience at this LensCrafters. Everyone was highly professional, knew exactly what they were doing, and simply got things done. They made the environment so friendly, welcoming, and very comfortable to be in. The first time I came in, I had my pre-test done by Crystal, who was extremely patient with me during the whole process, especially when conducting the eye puff test thingy. That test always makes me jump 5 feet in the air. It was a joy to interact with her and she has some of the best nails I have ever seen. Alex helped tie up some loose ends related to the puff test before my eye exam during my second appointment. She as well was very patient and delightful to work with. Dr. Mewes did my eye exam and made the information presented to me simple and easy to understand. She made the whole process seamless, and I was very impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. Rhonda helped me with scheduling follow-ups and purchasing a few other items. I was interested in getting sunglasses that would cut the most glare, and she pointed out which lens shades and coatings would work best for that. I will certainly use what she informed me about again in the future. Sonia helped me with picking the frames for the shades that I wanted. She had no problem taking all the time needed to ensure I got what I was looking for and gave me many helpful suggestions along the way. The pair I picked up are absolutely the best sunglasses I have ever had so far. Her guidance, combined with Rhonda’s, certainly enabled that, and I couldn’t be happier. She also definitely knows what she is doing when it comes to adjusting frames to get that perfect fit. Life changing! Everyone went the extra mile to get all the things I needed and wanted, and I cannot adequately express my appreciation for that. I believe everyone I mentioned was who worked with me, and if I left anyone out, I apologize. I find it amazing that LensCrafters can provide everything necessary for getting new glasses. From testing to frames, it all happens right there, which is very nice for simplifying an experience from start to finish. If you need new glasses, go to them! I cannot thank them enough for everything they did, and I hope what I wrote illustrates that.

Appointment was on time and the staff was friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. I was in and out of the exam fairly quickly and was able to order and be fitted for new glasses. The only disappointment was that my lenses weren't in stock so instead of being able to get them in a day or so, it'll be a couple of weeks. But I know that it's hard to have every single prescription in stock at all times so I am good with the wait.

You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.

Why should I get an eye exam?

An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.

What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?

LensCrafters | Sep 30, 2021

A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

LensCrafters | Sep 30, 2021
LensCrafters | Sep 30, 2021

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

LensCrafters | Sep 30, 2021
LensCrafters | Sep 30, 2021

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
