My family and I live at Hunters Ridge Apartments in Kentwood, Michigan. Group Five manages the complex. We went month to month last year. They increased our rent last year -- and they increased it more than once this year. We decided to transfer to a different complex. The rent is cheaper. Group Five also manages this complex. We looked at a vacant apartment at the other complex twice last month. The manager at the other complex said we can move in this month. I talked to her more than once. The last time I talked to her was last week, and she said the apartment is pre-rented. She didn't say this last month. We gave the manager at Hunters Ridge a transfer letter last month, and we thought we would move into the other apartment in September.

Payed deposit and ended up not moving in and they refused to refund my deposit even though it was in the guidelines to be refundable because I never moved in. They basically stole $350 from me because the apartment wasnt listed for 2 days. Do not use these people.

If they haven’t already someone is gonna end up suing this company for negligence they do not take care of a single property they own everyone that works at group five is outrageously rude I’ve rented from them for about 2 years and it’s been an awful experience protect yourself and do not rent from group five slumlords they take advantage of everyone of their residents there’s so many issues with my apartment that I’ve lost hope in them fixing because they’ll do anything to make sure money comes out of your pocket and not there’s please protect yourself from group five

Worst renting experience I’ve ever had. These ppl are all about money. & I’m still waiting for a call back from the regional manager going on 3 weeks now. But best believe they definitely are quick to send you fines/fees/ or miscommunicate with tendents and blame it on them. It’s ridiculous. I’ve lived here for over a year now & dealt with a lot of issues that still haven’t been fully addressed I only get excuses. They also lost my original move in paperwork stating what was wrong with the apartment and replaced it with a blank sheet and when I bring it up to them they say “they will get back to me” and never do. Rent at your own risk.

Thanks for asking. It's not obvious what's going on, but our pool building is being turned into a new leasing office! Soon the pool deck will be replaced, and the pool itself resurfaced. We're hoping for early summer, but to be realistic it may be mid-summer. But rest assured, you will see the work commencing soon. As to your bathroom fan, please give us call at 616-698-8077 so we can get a work order submitted for you.
Talk to management at complex office where you live. There is already a project upcoming to repave the streets at one location in Genesee city. Or so I was told.
