Woke and very political. Just how I like it

It was OK overall but this was not an improv show. A bidding war began got started to get the audience member’s “suggestions” into the scene. It wasn’t an auction though, they kept all of the money. This was cringe worthy. I felt bad for the actors on stage, having to peddle the audience for cash for “suggestions.” The show was scripted and rehearsed (some funny and heartfelt moments) so it felt like a game of mad libs where the audience suggestions were used as filler words during the memorized scenes. During a scene set during Rosh Hashanah dinner (the audience suggestion), an actor on stage accidentally blurted out the rehearsed line, “I’m an Irish Catholic mother…” Technically no two shows will ever be the same but this was a scripted sketch comedy show where the actors get no sets or props and with a bit of wordplay audience participation. Tickets are expensive and there is waitstaff walking around during the show bringing out chicken tenders and other snacks and drinks. The whole experience was just weird and felt like a tourist trap, but I’m giving it 4 stars because they use union employees and pay union wages so bring on alll the gimmicks to make that money!

We bought General Admission for "Do the Right Thing, No Worries If Not", and the view of the stage was still nice. The cast were very funny, and kept us all engaged. It felt more sketch and less improv, but still a great show. There was 1 bad-taste moment (personally speaking, of course) where one of the cast members showed up with a full body apron but no pants, giving the audience a 'full moon' view. All in all, a most memorable experience.

The answer is in! Show up early!
I wouldn't do that. Not sure of the rules but it would be a pretty obvious interruption for them to come in during the middle of the show.
Yes they do.
You can have your mask down when eating/drinking, but they will come around and remind guests to pull it up when not drinking.
I don't think so. Its not that kinda comedy club.
I'm not sure, I don't work there

Plan ahead do ya?
No but there's paid parking close. If it's a Friday or Saturday parking could be tough
No expected dress code, but expected audience behavior guidelines. Please follow them & tip the waitstaff.
Look up the show you're seeing on their website. https://www.secondcity.com/shows/chicago/
Show up to a show, and you will know more about them when you leave
Yes there is
Depends on what show you want to see. Looks like 8:00 or 11:00 for most shows.
Definitely do not bring children, age limit is 10 and over, reccomended age is 16 and over. See the website.
No
They have a number of stages with different shows on, and the popularity of each will vary. I was able to get good tickets to a show one day ahead (weeknight), but others were sold out about a week ahead.
