Traveled for hiking in late August. I loved how green and ground-covered it was. The trail was beautiful and so was the water! Great place.

A decent place to hike. It’s pretty quiet and not that well traveled so you’ll likely be alone or see just a few people. The hiking in the area is pretty easy.

No formal picnic spots, but carry-on carry-out gorgeous primitive venues abound with short hikes-in.
Unfortunately no, the reservoir has strict regulations about boats. Im fairly certain that engines are prohibited and the craft has to be specially registered and can't be used in other waters
I think fishing is not a problem. Just get a license. The issue with having a boat on the reservoir is that previous permit holders get priority...then anyone else by lottery system. Then to make things worse, if you use a boat here, it can only go into pretty boy, loch raven or liberty. Something about safety in not transferring micro organisms... So it's almost like you have to have a dedicated boat just for these lakes and can't take it anywhere else. This may explain why sometimes on a perfectly beautiful day, you'll notice nobody on the lake... Since its kinda complicated to have a boat here. For some, maybe not an issue (?)
Yes. There are lots of trails to walk dogs. But not much else other than the reservoir.
