A lot of great information, it is set up to have a guided tour. They also have another warehouse with a lot of apparatus. Great information about Chicago fires that changed the way thing are done and codes that were changed to save lives.

The Fire Museum is free. Our next open house is February 23 from 10 - 2. We are a 501c3 charity funded entirely by donations and membership.
The Fire Museum of Greater Chicago is open the 4th Saturday of every month except for December - from 10am to 2pm
According to their website...they open on every 4th sat of the month. The next open day is sat sep 28th from 10am to 2pm. I highly recommend going. What a great experience.
