Some children's museums are focused on elementary age kids and don't have much for a 2 year old. Here, that's the target audience! We had a great time with all the other small kids pushing tiny shopping carts filled with plastic foods. Plus, the excellent use of clear ducts and colorful scarves. A good day was had by all.

Great place for kids to have fun! A lot of things to do in there.

Staff was friendly, place was nice and clean. Staff interacted with my nephew and played with him which was really nice of them to do. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing experience. I highly recommend. The price seems steep but there is so much to do on the 2nd level.

Hi Paul there is handicap parking, but admission isn't free.
If you are a member of your local library, you can "check out" a museum pass to use here that will let you buy one admission, get one free.
No cafe inside. An ice cream shop is located next door which can be a useful way to entice kids to leave the museum.
Thank you for asking. We don't usually have any free days, but sometimes we'll offer a $5 admission day. Also, if you purchase the CLIMB membership from us, you can play for free at five other Chicago area children's museums plus get in to other children's museum throughout the country for half price.
Yes, the fifth floor (rooftop) of the parking garage that's just across the road. The lot right in front is 30 minute only. The parking garage is also free (all floors) on Sundays I know.
Yes! Anyone under 2 doesn't need a mask.
Hi Margaret, No, it does not. However if you purchase a CLIMB membership with us, it will get you into five other Chicagoland children's museums for free. Check out the membership page on our website for details or give us a call. Thank you.
We have a membership which is by FAR the best value...and we don't even live close!!
We went earlier today. They have removed or changed up some of the attractions to be more conscious of the times. They have also limited numbers of guests. They do have workers walking around with sanitizing spray cleaning high touch areas. There are still a lot of things to touch and it depends on your kids and your level of caution. Definitely a personal decision!
Admission is $9.50 per adult and $9.50 per child. There are discounts for teachers, seniors and through the Museums For All initiative. This can all be found on our website at www.cmoaklawn.org.
We are! Visit us at https://www.cmoaklawn.org/employment.html for more information.
Under 12 months is free but if you have to pay for your child it is worth it. Museum is a lot of fun with many interesting things to do for all young ages.
It depends on the number of people. Give us a call at 708-423-6709 ext 206 and ask for Jessica. Thank you for inquiring.
If the membership you have is an ACM reciprocal membership, you can use the membership to get into any Reciprocal Network Partner Museum at half price (up to six people). Be sure to ask the Chicago Children's Museum about your membership benefits to see if your membership includes that particular benefit. We do sell a CLIMB Membership at the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn. This is a partnership with other suburban museums where you can get free access to these other museums. More information on that membership can be found at https://www.cmoaklawn.org/family-memberships.html. We are an ACM reciprocal network partner so purchasing a CLIMB membership with us would get you 50% off at other Reciprocal Network Partner Museums, as well.
Each Children's Museum in the CLIMB Partnership is it's own organization, meaning we aren't operationally affiliated with one another. While we are all Children's Museums, we are all independent nonprofit organizations. All of us have our own operations and own membership systems. None of the six museums have access to the membership systems at the other five. Think of it like grocery stores, while you have 3-5 different chains of stores that you can probably name, they are all independent of one another. Children's Museum's are the same way. We are all Children's Museums, but we aren't part of a chain. We are all independent nonprofit organizations. The CLIMB partnership is a voluntary, reciprocal program that each of our institutions participate in to give each of our member families the opportunity to visit other museums. As long as you have your photo ID and CLIMB membership card, you will have no trouble with access to any of the partner museums. Hope to see you soon!
It's the same price everyday
Yes! We are open both Friday and Saturday. We are closed Sunday, but then we have a special open day on Monday.
I paid 7 dollars last time I went per person. That was for a birthday party.
Call and make arrangements, I'm sure they will accommodate.
