This is my favorite taco place in Chicago. My grandmother was Mexican and this place makes beans that rival hers. Everything is fresh, the owners are fantastic and always checking things and really working, and the place is so fast and well run. Not much of an ambiance but I don't really care. Sometimes it's fun to go there and just sit and eat and listen to the busyness.

I've been coming to this place for at least 15 years and when the dad owned it, the food was amazing. Batgirl took over from her father and it was running all right, but in the last year, I have to tell you, the customer service...well, there is none. Instead it's replaced with attitude. I know times are tough, and only accepting cash and not having to pay credit card fees by accepting credit cards should put more money in their account, so I think it's fair to say you can spare giving out more salsa when a customer asks for it. I ordered 9 tacos and a large chips and red salsa. In my bag were 2 little green salsas and my large red salsa. When I asked the woman for red salsa, she said, "You have a large red salsa in the bag!" Yeah that I paid for to eat with my chips!! How does she know we want to share it with the tacos? Come on!! $15 for a bland burrito and $4 for a taco and you can't spare salsa? That's the least they could do. They need to lose the attitude and clean the place up, starting with the staff. They lost me as a customer! I make better tacos at home when I'm not being lazy! I won't be back, don't worry, I won't miss you either!

So I decided to try something new and gave this restaurant a shot. The friend I ordered with was a vegetarian and she ordered a vegetarian burrito. I got home and the worker had rang it in as a carne asada burrito. Added cheese to both our orders and there was very little cheese added but they were quick to add the extra charge of 1.50 to each burrito. I got my take out order and went home to notice the error. I called back and brought the error to their attention and she blamed me for the wrong order and made lots of accusations and said fine you can come back and we will make you the right burrito and only charge me half the cost. Well first of all the burrito she charged me for (the incorrect one) was already 5 dollars more than the one I ordered. Needless to say I will never be back to this shady establishment!!
