I live out of town and when I visit the area I usually get these round cookies that are a mixture of black and white with a dollop of fudge in the middle. On my most recent visit today there was only one cookie left in the case. I pointed to it and asked if there were more. The man told me he could make some. I asked for a dozen. He went into the back and brought out what looked like large round cookies. I saw he was working with the fudge to put on top of the cookies. I did not have a clear view to make sure it was the right cookie and didn’t check when I left as he put them into a box. When I got home I saw I had the wrong cookies- thinner, fudge and white icing. I was so disappointed. They do not have the same flavor. Very expensive cookies and I don’t like them. They are true black and white cookies and I’m not sure what the ones I got are called, although they are a mixture of black and white. The picture on the top were the ones I got today. The ones on the bottom are the ones I got in the past and what I wanted.

THIS CAKE PLACE IS HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL . I WENT TO PICK A CAKE UP THE DAY BEFORE MY DAUGHTERS PARTY AND IT LOOKED LIKE A GROUP OF TODDLERS CAME TOGETHER AND MADE THE CAKE THEMSLEVES, IT WAS HORRIBLE . THE WRITTING WAS CROOKED ,FOR SOME REASON THEY UNDERLINED HER NAME, THE PICTURE I ASKED FOR NEEDED A MICROSCOPE TO SEE(WHY IS THE PICTURE SO SMALL ON A TWO TIER WIDE CAKE?!!). I PAID $135.00 FOR THIS CAKE .THE OWNER WAS NOT UNDERSTANDING AT ALL AND DID NOT WANT TO ISSUE A REFUND AFTER I TOLD HIM HOW DEEPLY UNSATISFIED I WAS AND THAT I NOW HAD TO SPEND MONEY AGAIN TO PURCHASE A NEW CAKE FROM ELSWHERE AFTER THEY DID A POOR JOB. HE TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THIS CAKE WAS PROFESIONALLY DONE. MY DAUGHTER HAS A DAIRY ALLERGY SO IT'S IMPORTANT THAT WE USED A KOSHER BAKERY BUT UNFORTUNATELY THIS WAS NOT THE ONE !!! LOOK AT THIS CAKE . I HIGHLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am highly disappointed in the changes that have occurred to the bakery since they bought it from its original owner. I have been going there for about 6 years. I went to buy some challahs for Sabbath a few months ago right as they had just bought it. It tasted and felt strange but I figured it was just a bad batch. I went there again a few months later and the quality was really bad and this time there were notes saying that they had bought the bakery. After giving them time to get use to running a bakery I went again to buy our challah for Sabbath this weekend since we were having guest. The bread was flat and rock hard, it showed no braids or anything resembling a challah. It really look like the new owners don't really know how to bake or ask for help; first time I really wanted to return to the store to return these horrible challahs. I will try again in 6 months to give them a year of ownership.

I know they sell jelly doughnuts (maybe not all the time), but their focus is more on pastries, cakes, and cookies.
