Yes, you will need to get a background check when buying from an FFL (licensed gun shop). It cost $7.50 extra and is paid to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Investigation. The process is standardized and is easily done here in the shop. Feel free to reach out with any other questions you have. We are here to help.
