We have a Sears wall oven that was hit by lightening and totally died. After finding the Sears manual I called and a technician came out and evaluated it. He found that the main part was gone and ordered another. When the technician came back several weeks later he took a look at the oven, It was working just fine! It had restored itself. What a strange thing! We kept the part in case it happens again. !

Our Kenmore Elite was running, but not cooling. We called, they gave us an appointment for August 1, then changed it to August 10. The service man came and knew exactly what was wrong before looking at it - a defective compressor, which you knew. It was still under warranty. Parts were ordered, which arrived within a couple of days. Our next service date was not until August 26. I went online to confirm, they gave me August 25. A service man came and wanted to check out the problem and said he could not fix it because he had too many customers that day. We were upset, so he called the office and they told him to fix it. He was not happy. For parts and service, it cost us over $900 for a part that was still under warranty. Hundreds of dollars of food was lost, we lived out of coolers, take-out and restaurants, which added to our expenses. You want to know how you rate with us? We've been married 57 years and have always had Kenmore products. We had a similar situation when we bought a new freezer and was somehow taken off the delivery list. We lost hundreds of dollars-worth of food loss then. I will never own another Sears product, and hope I never have to deal with you again, and I have no kind words for Sears.

Terrible service! Brian was service person. I immediately told him to check FREON. He did some tests amounting to $800 approximately. My husba d asked him why so much & they talked back & forth. I asked him to please check & add FREON. He refused to do it & left. Since the ( couple weeks ago now) another service came & add3d FREON. No problems since & issues resolved ( i.e. Now making ice cubes & freezer is cold!) I DO NOT RECOMMEND SEARS REPAIR SERVICE. WE'VE HAD ISSUES WITH THEM SINCE 2016.
