My mother was in Memory Care for 2 years and 4 months. At first, it was difficult because Covid hit and she was medicated to the point I thought she was gone but they started to ween her off the meds and I found my mom again. Although she suffered from loss of memory she remembered me, most important part. Yes, at times I thought her room could've been cleaned better and they would make sure it was after, and there were other small issues, but did mom suffer from them? No, just me. I don't think that any of these type of places is going to be perfect. I think as the caretakers of our loved ones we want it be perfectly clean, no odors, bathed everyday, ...the truth is the only way to get perfection (maybe) is have them in your home with a 24 hour Nurse. That wasn't going to work for me...this was the best place for her...she seemed happy, and always had a full meal which she loved.

Becky is an employee of Harbor Retirement, the people who own Harbor Chase? Becky Maholick Senior Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. I guess that's one of the only ways to score a good review. I have had such a terrible, traumatizing time with Harbor Retirement management. Between the arrogance, the promises unfulfilled, the price changes, the unwillingness to provide documents for review long before move-in (their contract is 82 pages) and the nasty comment made to me at another facility, I'm appalled. The fish is rotten from the head down.

Very Disappointing. Their priority is to have a "wonderful" facade of the place and events. Appearance is everything except behind the doors it is very different. Lack of communication, Lack of skilled staff, Lack of priorities, Lack of genuine care for their clients. Constant turnovers of employees.
