Positive: Location. Easy access to interstate. Close to shopping and choice of restaurants. Front desk clerk/owner? seemed overwhelmed with check-ins and handling issues, yet VERY patient and kind. Negative: Had a plumbing issue. ONLY staff seemed to be the front desk clerk/owner? He was doing ALL he could to get people checked in that it took a while to finally get a plunger and fix it ourselves.

I made my reservations online through best western paid with my points. Called before I got there to church my reservation and the clerk that answered the phone was so rude. Talking about they are still talking reservations and there was only 3 rooms and 12 check ins. I made the reservation at 1:30 in the afternoon. When we arrived she was still rude kept my drivers license even put it where the morning clerk didn’t see it. When I arrived at my next destination and went for my drivers license and seen it was gone I called and the same rude clerk answered. Yes I am looking at it right now. The elevator buttons do not work. My room had the smoke detectors removed I asked when I came back when the manager would be in and the day clerk said that’s a good Question maybe Tuesday.

This is the third year in a row that I have stayed at this hotel. I don't know what happen for it to have gone down so badly but it has been the worst experience I have ever had. The first room I was given was a total disaster, my son use the bath room and noticed water dripping from the ceiling on to the back of the toilet (something the cleaning grew should have noticed) and there was black mold around the edges of the ceiling and the toilet paper holder was broken . I fluff the pillows on my bed and there was 2 dirty pillow cases, so I try to turn on the lamp to call the front desk, the lamp doesn't work, the phone doesn't work. I go to the front desk to get a new room and they are full till the next day. I get a new room the next day that night someone opens my door with knocking, I'm expecting my son to come back and it's 9 o'clock at night I yell that better be my son and the person just closes the door. I get up to see who can unlock my door. It was an employee I assume the night manager and she's looking in another room. She says I'm sorry I was just checking for empty rooms. There is more to my list of problems at this hotel and my stay. I'm sure you get the picture. I'm afraid I could no longer recommend this hotel to stay in. It looks like it's kinda being remodeled but, isn't being done well. Noisy halls at night. Good free breakfast but there was no decaf coffee or utensils. We were there when it opened at 6am so given time they may have been supplied better.
