A food market that is much less touristy than Chelsea Market but with no less worthy stalls and plenty of seating. There are also many raw products to buy. Worth a visit.

AS FAR AS I'M AWARE OF, THEY ARE NOT HIRING SECURITY GUARDS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. THEY HIRE A SECURITY FIRM AND THE FIRM SENDS OUT WHOM THEY WILL. HOWEVER,,DON'T PUT THAT IN STONE,THEY MAY HAVE CHANGED PROCEDURES. I LIVE CLOSE BY ,,SO I'LL TRY TO GET UPDATED AND MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT THIS.
Yes. Essex Street Market does have selections of meat and a full variety of kiosks and vendors as well as a wonderful stroll indoors. Particulary in the colder days you can order and stroll and selct much more. They do offer free "Learn How To Cook On A Budget" classes every Wednesday at 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30.
