We are originally from Turkey. My dad passed away unexpectedly last week. This group of people were really amazing, helping me lay him to rest. I had been to a funeral in Florida before but had been very disappointed as the cleric completely dismissed the woman and the whole thing was unpleasant from the people to the mescid where the prayers were done to the burial location. I called many prominent Muslim groups, all insisted using their own cemeteries, which were in less than desirable neighborhoods and were more interested in charging me than helping me. I wanted to bury my dad at Fort Lauderdale memorial gardens. Funeral home found a cleric but it fell through last minute. I called Masjid As Sultaan at almost 9pm before the day of the funeral devoid of any hope. Brother Ahmad was traveling but told me they would help me. The group agreed to come to the funeral home I had picked out and the ceremony with namaz was executed perfectly. Brother Vassah’s speech was in English and was a reminder of Islam truly being a religion of peace. If I had known, I would have invited all my foreign friends so they can see. The group didn’t want to take any money and said it was their duty to perform the services. They also called me a few days later to see how I am doing and if I have any feedback. They also offered to feed the community in memory of my father! I am truly amazed and happy to run into such true believers who truly care about humanity and practice Islam as it was intended; helping people and treating them with respect and kindness.

A very welcoming and friendly masjid. It is a small place but utilized really well. A definite stop for travelers to support. It is a little hard to see as it is through a small alley in a strip mall.

Happy to hear that! If you really want to know Islam, the only true religion, please come to Masjid Al Sultan Salahuddin. They are moderate Muslims, not loose nor extreme. You get to learn Very authentic knowledge from people who are God fearing and trustworthy. It's really beautiful to know Islam because it makes so much sense and doesn't leave you confused in any matter. You will find the purpose of this life and the true inner peace. Trust me, you won't regret! I was born and raised in a Muslim family but didn't really know or understand Islam until I met people of this place, and it truly turned my life around AlHamdulillaah! I get to know why Islam is so perfect because it is not a man made religion rather it is from one and only God who is the Creator of everything and Who doesn't resemble His creations in anyway. He has perfect knowledge, will and power. You can contact me personally. I will give you the schedule of their weekly lesson and also help you meeting the teachers.
