Only 2 stars because I stored with Synergy storage for over 5 years and was happy with them, however, this location was recently bought by a large management agency (Right Space Storage) and the changes are coming hard and fast. The new owners implemented an immediate increase to costs and have been simultaneously scaling back facility amenities. I guess having to pay an employee to check the 1st floor trash at the end of the day was an expense that was unbearable. They have issued new lease agreements to all tenants that go into effect May 1 with or without signatures. The language in the lease allows the owner to deny access to the building, the gates, and your unit including removal of your stored items from the property if you or a guest fails to conduct themselves in "a professional, businesslike manner" which is subjective. The new leases also have a clause aimed at barring renters from disparaging the owner. You waive your ability to say anything critical of the owner on "social media" (which would include this public review) and open yourself up to legal recourse if untrue statements are made. This is the push I needed to finally stop spending money on storage.
