Group of 5. 4 of us were first timers. You go through a line and order your food and it is then brought to your seat. That was fine. What is not fine is they want you to tip before you even get your food, while you are still in the line. I chose to wait til after we received our food so I can tip on the service. The cashier made a big deal out of that and had to tell the other employees right in front of me. So guess what I got? Looks and stared at. How uncomfortable. Do they not know tipping is on the service? How can you tip for something you have yet to receive? The service ended up fine, food was fine. I tipped $10.00 on a $49 bill. We won't be returning to this place because the cashier chose to single me out and make sure everyone knew I wasn't tipping up front. I will let everyone I know about my experience.

The "Haystack"- hash browns, sausage gravy, topped with eggs- is one of the best breakfasts I know. The chicken fried steak is crisp & delicious. A great stop!
