Lived in 2 different apartments they owned. First one did not have a working furnace. Had maintenance come 3-4 times before I gave up and just used space heaters. I did that for 3 winters. Plus side I got my entire deposit when I moved. 2nd place was just gross. It obviously hadn’t been cleaned and turned by maintenance, as a maintenance man walked in two days after I moved in, surprised he said he didn’t know the apartment had been rented. Not sure who lived in it before me but the horrendous amount of grease I cleaned off EVERY surface was insane. Since moving out they’ve sent me a bill of over 800$, non itemized. Honestly even with all the bad experiences I didn’t mind all that much. But after 6 years living in their properties and never missing rent, I was late a couple times by a few days, they throw an 800$ move out charge at me. I lived without a furnace for 3 winters and let them off the hook. I just want to add, concerning the note left by ownership. I attempted to call them at minimum 20 times. They were “on a call, in a meeting, or out of the office” each time. Every word I said was true. Downgrading to one star for calling me a liar. Clear sign I wasn’t lying, I got my full deposit from first apartment back in full. Century doesn’t do that. Except when you lived in their apartment without a furnace for 3 yrs.

Do not expect your apartment to be fully cleaned when you move in with this company. I highly advise new tenants to keep thorough record of everything thats wrong with the apartment; because this company is notorious for charging tenants for damage that wasn't theirs.There is a reason this company rents to people with no credit experience. They will try to decieve you at every step of the way; whether this be false pictures of the apartment you want to rent out, or your deposit when it comes time to leave. I've had water lines break, bug infestations, and some super unfriendly neighbors. Other neighbors in the building have reported seeing black mold in the vents. Though they do attempt to deal with problems in a timely manner; these are problems that shouldn't occur. I advise you to remove autopay from your payment plan with this company because even if you cancel it, they might still charge you, and leave you with -700 dollars in the bank for a week before they admit they were in the wrong. Don't rent anything from this company until they let you see it in person; preferably, don't rent from this company at all! At my building, the floors are paper thin. Expect to hear all of your neighbors kids in the morning when you're trying to sleep :)

I have been with century for 9 years an all of a sudden they won't renew my lease an won't give me a reason y before my lease was up. There maintenance people didn't fix a lot of the stuff in my apartment when I moved in up stairs that I had to fix cause they wouldn't do it. They also wouldn't fix the flooding downstairs at the time when I lived down there an it was horrible. There is mold an the carpet has never been changed an they slack on not wanting to spend the money on replacing the carpet. This is the worst company ever that I would never recommend of anyone going with them what so ever. Take it from a guy like me living here for 9 years that I had to deal with an just far worst the place to rent. Stay away from century an fine a better place to live that actually fixes stuff an does the work.

I believe there is the options to have the same price as long as your rent on the property wasn't going up at that time for another reason.
