We adopted Roxy one year ago from Harlequin Havanese. She is healthy, happy, affectionate, funny and smart. We couldn't possibly be happier with Roxy and thankful everyday for the joy she brings to us everyday.

We brought our 12-week old male chocolate and white male home on March 12, 2021. He came to us crate trained, puppy pad training well underway and socialized. He is a total joy to have in our family. He sailed through puppy training with ease. The trainer was very impressed with how quickly he learned. We plan to enroll him in the next level of training. He loves to play. He keeps us laughing with some of the things he does when entertaining himself. Becky has been wonderfully responsive when I have had questions along the way. In fact Raffi heard a recording of her voice last week. He paused and listened intently, then ran to a window crying and looking! I know he knew who it was. Very sweet. I can highly recommend a Havanese from Harlequin.

I visited their home a few years ago intending to adopt a puppy. However, after deeper reflection, it just wasn't the right time for me. When the time was right, however, I opted to adopt 2 sweet little senior rescue Havanese instead. Yes, I would have preferred a puppy, but I just couldn't leave these two in Foster care knowing they had to be adopted together. But I digress!!! I have had Havanese dog(s) for the last 17 years. They are an interesting breed, but NOT for everyone. You MUST be available for them about 20 hrs a day. They do not like being left alone or with other family members. They like THEIR human. Period. If your lifestyle is conducive to this wonderful breed, I would have absolutely NO HESITATION adopting from Harlequin. This is a kind, loving family that breeds these dogs....NOT a puppy mill. They had beautiful pups with wonderful temperaments when I visited (several years ago.) I will definitely get my next Havanese from Harlequin, but mine are all 15+ years old and show no signs of going anywhere!!! They are a wonderful breed and these are great breeders that I feel are extremely trustworthy and ethical.
