Dang certified for six weeks eight weeks ago and I’ve only been paid for one week. Now I’m having a blowout sale at my apartment on furniture. I should be able to get to work within the next week or so but dang I try my hardest not to file California unemployment due to all the Bad stories I hear online.

I've called EDD at least 30 times in the last 3 months. Each and every time I call the answering machine says that they are super overwhelmed and it just hangs up. Not only that but I also sent an email which they replied getting but it's an automatic reply. As of yet no real reply and it's been 3 months since I sent the email.

That is a good question. I think working on claims makes up a very small percentage of their day.
At least send them an email online so that you can prove you attempted to correct your mistake good luck. Create a log in and send an email from their website.
The offices are closed. The phone are open Monday-Friday 8am to 8pm. Usually takes 2 weeks to get through via phone. Best way to contact EDD is logging on the website clicking the contact icon and follow the instructions.
