Truly enjoyed being able to have our grandchildren on base visit us on the beach. We were able to spend alot of relaxed time in a clean, secure environment. It offered every basic pleasure we needed. Can't wait to book it again!

I was stationed at Onslow b.in 72,73,in 2nd Recon Bn. I've ran hundreds of miles up and down the beach. Not one of my favorite memories, but proud ones. My question is, What happened to all the barracks?

Downsizing of the Marine Corps is the answer I have got from several people. I was with an infantry unit from the mid to late 90's. That unit is now gone. Tanks went to the Army. If you look around the base, changes are happening everywhere. Keep your memories like I am. Nobody can ever take that away from us. Semper Fi.
