Closed for a month . Lost mail/ packages / raising prices with unbelievably inefficient service/important instate overnight mail sent to California . The list is endless… as is the steady stream of excuses .

My rural postal carrier refuses to shut my mailbox and when it is raining my mail is saturated. This is the Fairview Tn post office.

Timeline of Fairview Post Office Delivery of packages: I'm a native of Fairview for 60 years so I can attest to the level of quality of the local USPS. The delivery has gone from superior service to absolute ZERO! I've lived in my current home since 2013 (which has a slightly longer paved driveway than my previous homes). Initially, my packages were ALWAYS delivered to my front door (as they should be), but as a few years passed, the packages were being delivered to my garage door in driveway (not great, but acceptable). Then a few more years passed (roughly 2019 timeframe...before covid), the delivery driver wouldn't even bring them to the house if they could stuff it inside the mailbox (I have a large mailbox) or they hang it at the mailbox. I live on a busy street, so when the packages were being left on top of my mailbox (with $200+ value inside) I became VERY concerned and complained in person at the post office. They now they don't even bother leaving a notification inside the mailbox telling me I have a package waiting at the post office [because the driver is too lazy and won't bring it to my front door]. I work from home so I'm ALWAYS there to take the package. With the complaints I've made about non-delivery of packages, I must have been blacklisted, because I just tried to place an order online and they indicated they couldn't deliver to my house. I find that interesting because UPS, FEDEX and Amazon will deliver to my house without problems. There is no legitimate excuse as to why they won’t deliver the packages. It has to be pure laziness (lack of service)!

I mailed Christmas gifts today and will ship nothing but gift cards through this location again. They are unapologetically unaware of their services, where labels are located, and how to help customers navigate shipping costs. When I showed amazement at the costs, they did not offer any ways to help lower them, which I found out were options after I swiped my payment card. The new clerk blamed me and the older clerk say by with an amused look. This follows a visit last week where I listened to these same clerks in the back laughing about someone they think is creepy and saying inappropriate things about him that I will not post online. Their current level of service is far lower than I have ever experienced at USPS and am really disappointed.

Was about $70 per/year went up to $235. In simple words !GOD SMACKED!
They take packages all day during their business hours. If packages have a prepaid label, weigh less than 13 ounces, and will fit in the box outside, you can drop them in there. As far as shipments you're waiting for, you should check your tracking number, or check with the post office during business hours.
