Zero stars if it was possible to submit. My application has been sitting with them for months now, all while I get to see "typically 2-4 weeks" for their step in the process to be completed and sent up to the next, in bold font right on my own SSA homepage every time I log in to check the status. My "rep" hasn't returned a single phone call, communicated in any way, or provided any assistance/aid/guidance/help/recommendations/advice etc... whatsoever. Front office staff are friendly enough and seem to care, but are unable provide any actual info (not their fault), aside from confirming that they do indeed have in possession all requested / required documents. I finally had to reach out to the National office to get this escalated, though in typical bureaucratic fashion that means additional time waiting with non-answers and more confusion. I "hope" this is purely incompetence sadly enough, because at this point it feels like a complete absence of any desire or care to provide help to those who need it during extremely difficult times.

It's a long wait to reach someone by phone.

Could not get past the bot computer named "Jessica" that answers the phone. Was faster to travel to the office. Two security guards with guns are in the waiting room. The guards are OK. Don't bring pepper spray or a pocket knife.

Wow, they really need better customer service. I was on hold for about 5 mins even though I called at about 9ish, the phone would ring like if someone was going to answer, it did this about 4 times and then put me back on hold till someone finally answered. The female representative that answered kept breathing so loudly into my ear and she continously placed me on hold. On top of that she could not even schedule my appt to come and get a SS card so she would have someone call me to schedule that appt. I was also was not given the option to do the survey which I really wanted to do. I definitely give it a bad service survey. Some government office services are just horrible.

Notify the SSA about your move
You need to simply go down to the Victoria plaza it in front of the Bayshore mall go in side ssi office get a number an they will do the rest.
Go online and make an acct. with the SSA and you can order it online, or go into the office on Broadway and they can help you.
Yes you do, call them at the general number and they will help you from there to get to the right person.
I'm not sure if there open right now because of covid bans.
Walk up. With mask was an option. Drive by and ask.
No but it could take 45 min. To an hr. to talk to them.
Well they are trying to make changes in customer care, remember they have to deal with all sorts of people with all sorts of attitudes. You get what you give.
Well some people, just go with a commitment ceremony, so it's not by law, basically.
Call +18668281991
It could take years☺
It's a scam.
Either go into the social security office, call the social security office or set up an account on ssa.gov and do it online.
I need the answer to this as well. My father just passed on April 30th. Can I use his May 3rd SS deposit for his burial?
I didn't make an appointment I went when they opened up and answered a few questions on the Kiosk. Was seen pretty quick.
Call them and let them know.
Nope, they take walk ins as well as appts.
It depends on what you want to do.
Answers can vary depending on a variety of factors. Call your local Social Security office or physically come in. A customer service representative will determine why. Most non-payment issues can be dealt with on the same day.
Why wasn't my benefits issued on the first of Feb?
Yes. Go to the courthouse in downtown Eureka. It's on the top floor. It costs about ten dollars and you can get a replacement birth certificate for yourself or any of your children.
Ticket to work program and also the pass program
