I am not sure what type of fish eats there & water is low where I was at. But, I believe you can ...I didn't see any sign saying you can't. I would say try calling the park to see if you are allowed to fish.

Is this place open for day use? I herd they had shut it down because someone beat up those couple that was taking care of the place.

Yes

Can one one tell me if they have opened this park up yet? I know it's been closed due to high water flows. Hoping to float the Mokelumne soon and not have to drive all the way to the Stanislaus to float

Yes the park is open. Be aware, the water is very cold, levels are still high, and the current is very fast and can easily sweep a child and even an adult away. Please ensure everyone including adults wear life vests.

Is the park open now? I went the other day & it was closed.

If the park is open there is an on-site caretaker who lives in the large enclosure in the back of the parking lot. I don't live close or I would check. The park day area should be open and accessible all day long.

How is the water during this time of year?

ashley thonesavan | Oct 1, 2019

Very cold and swift. The hotter it gets the more snow melts and they release water from the dam and it goes up.
