We didnt have a problem and they didnt state any bear activity only rattle snakes. We enjoyed it there.

I don't think there is. The river is quite a ways down a steep bank from the parking area. I never really looked at the boat ramp area though. Possibly that would be a good spot to access for you. Try calling the parks department.

Yes they are allowing camping for the time being. There is a area for swiming and beach activities but it is shared water with boats. They is year round water but not always enough to launch a boat.

It was a few weeks ago, prior to this new wave of shutdowns. Now I'm not so sure, cool camping area.

Yes. Detected and sluiced the area there three years ago. Be careful! Lots of active claims in the area.
