The SOS made it impossible to create a new business. It requires those seeking to create a new business in various parishes to use geauxbiz to create a business entity, and that process it too confusing and impossible. The reason why is because the SOS insists the business community do the work of the Department of Revenue and Workforce Commission before the business entity can be accepted. Note: tax elections and data for workforce commission is NOT necessary to form a business entity. Geauxbiz is riddled with problems. You will not get any help from the SOS.

This website is horrible. I've been a LLC company since 2015. Every time I navigate the website I go in circles for hours, before I figure out what I need. I don't understand why on the main page, they can't put links next to subject. For instance, try finding the link for Trade Names, Trademarks and Service Marks.
