While attending our family reunion, we decided to grab a bite to eat. The service and food was pretty good. The chicken was fried to perfection. I wanted to shake the hand of the individual that fried it. I wasn’t a fan of the mac&cheese as it was a little too Kraft adjacent for my liking. Also, I haven’t had Koolaid in years and decided to try theirs and it was pretty refreshing. My family also got the oxtails and meatloaf and said they were pretty good. I can’t wait to visit them during our next trip to Chicago.

Picked up a tray of Catfish filets and a full pan of cabbage on Mothers Day and it was terrific. Well run place with very good food. I DoorDash from here often and never had a bad meal.

Absolutely delicious! Great soul food and a great mixed drink. We are from Virginia and know Southern soul food and this is definitely it!!! Great atmosphere, great customer service, everything just Absolutely great! Will be back and recommend to everyone we know.

My wife & I were looking for soulfood places and came across this one. My wife wanted meatloaf, but they didn't serve in on a Sat. We found a place that did and I forgot to change my maps to the other place. We went here instead of the other place intended, but I was happy we did. The food was fresh, clean seating, and even a bar area to get a drink. My wife and I decided to get a shot while we waited on our food :) . One of the employees was welcoming and checked to make sure that our food was to our expectations, with the offer to get in a good spade game too. The mac & cheese , dressing and chicken wings were good. We will definitely be back again to try out the food for a different day.
