The security guards no longer allow parking in the lot across the street so there is not anywhere to park and enjoy the sunset or use the Blue Bikes on the levee trail.

I was reading about this place and PORTUNUS… it reminded me of the matrix.

What a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We didn’t catch her name, but the security guard was especially friendly!

I decided to take my grandmother here on sunday, there was absolutely no one parked in the upper parking lot. Actually no one but us visited during the 40 minutes we spent here. As soon as we parked, keep in mind my Grandmother has a handicap sticker, and gets around with the aid of a walker and a grandson. As soon as we parked a security card comes zooming up in a small marked Suv, and tells us we can not park up here and we must pull across the street and park. Let’s keep in mind this is Sunday, absolutely no one in the parking lot and she felt compelled to have us drive across the street and park. There are no signs indicating that the handicapped spots are “reserved” I can’t imagine why this tax payer funded facility would pay a security guard just to tell people where they can and can not park, especially having handicapped people move, with the state issued decals is totally impossible for me to comprehend. I would implore management to change this policy, if in fact the security guard is told to have handicapped people park across the Street, totally no sen sensical!
