My husband and I adopted our newest fur baby, Tank here. We live on base, (a few hours away from the shelter) and the staff was very accommodating with scheduling a pickup time/working around that to make the adoption go smoothly.

I heard of one of these shelters putting a blind kitty to sleep because he was scared and he accidentally but someone he was in a noisy room and he panicked my friend has the article and his pic on fb tge rescued him and then killed him nice shelter
Yes ma'am. We are an open admission facility and take in just about every type of animal.
Don't chance it! Put an ad on Craigslist for help. NOLA.com reported this shelter sells animals for $20 each to LSU Vet school, where they are killed and dissected. A whistle-blower let the secret out and now they're facing federal charges.
Maybe if you give the dog some special quality time and assure her or him that things are okay whatever it's going through might be a little easier for them. To handle what's going on.
I honestly don't know what you're asking Are you asking do they put dogs down at the shelter on Process ?
I have called and was given that info over the phone, not sure if they still operate that way but it's worth a try
Ask yourself if she's really that bad. NOLA.com reported this shelter sells animals for $20 each to LSU Vet school, where they are killed and dissected. A whistle-blower let the secret out and now they're facing federal charges.
This shelter sells animals to LSU Vet school, where they are killed and dissected. Don't give it up!
this is a kill shelter, they will put your pet to sleep if that is what you are asking.
Call and ask, I don't work there but I know that they will be able to get you started easily
Right now till July 31st they are waiving adoption fees on all ready to go animals.
Reach out to rott breed specific rescues, you can reach out to other surrounding rescues but most are foster based. Most are full from people surrounding their pets. For the shelter as CAA, you prob need to call or go to their webpage for surrender info through them. Maybe you can foster your rott through the shelter or a rescue until a home or other foster can be found. Just giving you some options to consider that you may not be aware of.. Granted there may be requirements for each that have to be met...so always check with each please. Hope that helps
Probably best to contact them. I did get a blanket when I adopted my dog.
I am sure they would be able to help. May have to call them.
Yes you can, if you bring him to the intake department on the side of the building, they will be able to assist you. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm daily.
Nothing just bring them
No, as long as the animal was found in East Baton Rouge Parish
$75 for dogs over 6 months and 25 pounds and over $175 for dogs under 6 months and under 25 pounds
Great care? I wouldn't call vivisection great care
I think 15 or 20.. I honestly don't remember... But it is cheap.
Yes.. My husband and I had found a kitten and brought her up there. That's when we how our dog. Lol
Im close by.. Will keep a look out for your dog
Please try a rescue first. CAA is a good shelter but they do euthanize if overcrowded. Google CAAWS first and go from there if you can. Hopefully you'll find something.
