Slightly off but still very good. Red beans not as creamy as before and fried chicken needed more seasoning. Ordered fries for app but they didn't come till end and were not as crispy as usual. BBQ shrimp excellent.

The restaurant was nice and service was great. The chicken was good but I was hoping the waffle would have a little flavor to it. It was just okay. Bacon and eggs were good. The mac and cheese was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend.

Really great food.

Fried chicken was amazing, BUT the black eyed peas and cornbread remind me of my grandmother’s cooking!

Hi Yazmine-No, sorry, the High Hat is a restaurant, not a coffee shop.
Yes, gift certificates are available.
Darryl, we have daily lunch and dinner specials. A few of our specials are the same every week : Monday = Red Beans and Rice, add Poche's Smoked Sausage or Fried Chicken. Tuesday = Fried Chicken with pimento mac-n-cheese and braised greens. Wednesday = changes but some examples are bacon-wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes, greens and gravy; crispy softshell crab; smothered chicken, etc. Thursday- Sunday = the specials change from week to week depending upon local ingredients available. Friday = we always have Shrimp Creole and most fridays we have an additional special. At the moment, we have a special salad with local watermelon, heirloom tomatoes and lump crab. Also, we have fried local okra with roasted serrano buttermilk dressing. The okra is only available when we can get it from our local farmer. If you have any questions about what the special will be the day of, please feel free to call us at (504)754-1336 any time after 11 AM during operating hours Thanks!
