This place should be open later so that there is no leftover food because the food is so good that it would sell it's both a compliment and a request to stay open longer especially on those nights that are the weekends just do it for the weekends stay open later but food is great

This was delicious! I checked out the recently opened Ruby's Soul Food Restaurant in River Oaks Mall food court located in Calumet City, IL. I enjoyed the fried catfish fillet dinner, which included my choice of two sides and a cornbread muffin. As you can see I chose the collard greens and mac-n-cheese. The food had delicious flavor and nothing was greasy or overly rich. Yum 😋

The food is not worth the price. Cannot support our people. The prices are too high. For one piece of short ribs too fatty, greens too salty and macaroni and cheese. Meal for 2 $68.00. Rediculous. Will never go back again. Little boy (7 years old) behind the steam table. He picked up two pieces of chicken no gloves I asked where are your gloves. He said oh yeah that’s right. Later he brought those same 2 pieces of chicken back and put them back in the pan. Restaurant is not that clean.

The food is good. Menu is a little confusing. It can get busy before a blink of an eye. So you can feel rushed to order, because ordering is cafeteria style. The best thing I've had was the fried fish, fried chicken and mac and cheese. Cobbler was not worth the price.
