I recently made an appointment to go to the Portuguese Consulate in Naugatuck to speak with Sra. Helena, to clarify my doubts about the documentation necessary to become a Portuguese citizen. She was kind and professional. When she had a doubt about my situation, she promptly called someone who was able to direct us to the right solution. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I could even start my process on that same visit! Now I only need to wait and hope my documents will soon return from Portugal. Thank God for the office in Naugatuck! The staff is always helpful, and punctual. The office is always clean and has good atmosphere.

I went to apply for my daughter’s citizenship on May of this year and Mrs. Maria Helena was so nice; helpful and made everything works perfectly on that day for us. My daughter left the consulate being a new Portuguese citizen! I’m so glad to have this consulate right here in CT with amazing and very professional people working in there to help us.
