The last time I came here I said I wouldn't go back because they were so incredibly slow. I should've listened to myself and not gone back but I figured I'd give them souther chance... same result! Waited 25 minutes for my food and the only reason it wasn't longer is because I asked them what was taking so long. I watched a manager get part of my order from one counter that had apparently been sitting there a while and the other half from another area that had also been sitting there a while and then putting fresh fries in my bag. When I got home, 5 minutes away, fish sandwich I ordered was cold and watery, cheeseburger was cold and garden dog was cold... only hot item I had was the fries. I guess I deserved this terribly cold food since I wasn't supposed to go back from my previous experiences. I won't make the mistake again... it's the last time this location will get my business and maybe every other location as well. Wish I could give them 0 stars since they don't even deserve that!

I usually get the Italian beef with sweet and hot peppers dipped as well as a hot dog or two with the works. You also can't go wrong with their chili cheese dogs. Definitely a must try. Always good service and the food is a nice change from the normal fast food places. Love the atmosphere too.

This is the always busy 95th and Pulaski Portillos, and is, like all of the Portillos in my opinion, overpriced. A cheeseburger and fries for fifteen bucks? If the food was hot and well prepared, maybe. It was nether. My first serving of fries was only half full. The disinterested counter people gave me another, and they were barely warm. The burger tasted like it was cooked earlier in the day. Overall not something I would recommend to other people.

Portillo’s is my daughter’s favorite restaurant. She loves the cheese fries and the vanilla milkshake. My favorite is the beef & cheddar croissant and the chicken ceasar salad. The decor for this location is awesome!
