Aug 5, 2022 Today my family and I went fishing it was the best experience we all had. If you want to catch fish this is the place to go they know what they are doing and we caught fish with in 5 mins of being out there. We did a a few hours and left with a lot of fish.

Captain wayne an his first mate steve are best me an family got 2 blues an at least 8 stripers that were keepers everyone had a great time and am suprise lots of stripers everyone saying no strippers we got 7 august 5 /2022

Captain Wayne and The islander saved our fishing vacation. Six of us planned an offshore fishing charter over one year in the making, with another charter boat out of Old Saybrook.... Beautiful boat, perfect weather, 12 hours and 200 mi on the ocean. We came to shore at the end of the day with one barely legal black sea bass and six long faces and disappointed hearts. We had one more night in our motel so four of us got together and started making phone calls out of desperation to catch something. After speaking to several local captains and being told all kinds of stories about stripers being moved out already or not in the area. We miraculously found Captain Wayne and he was able to agree to take us out the following morning bright and early. Well we got schooled. He had us on the fish in no time at all. We actually did the fishing and the jigging and the trolling and there's nothing like having that pole in your hand to feel the bite. We got our limit of keepers/slots by about 9:00 a.m.. and continued to catch a few more for sport and pictures,(catch and release)What a perfect half day it turned out to be! There was no waiting around or staring at the tips of poles and waiting for the first mate to do all the work. By far Captain Wayne is the best fishing captain I've ever come across. And I've been on fishing charters from Lake Ontario to the St Lawrence and from Gloucester to Cape cod and from Montauk to block Island. Believe me when I tell you there is none better than Captain Wayne and The islander.

Went out for the afternoon charter with Captain Wayne and his first mate Steve. Went with my son, daughter andm82 year old father. Had an awesome fishing trip! Caught enough fish for a couple weeks and I NEVER catch anything! They were great! Knowledgeable and extremely helpful a and patient! Can’t wait to go again!
