Told to use 1/4 cup detergent fear machines can t cycle it. Washer door needed slamming by manager/owner to operate. Scroungy. On coin machine.

Maybe the city has water turned off in his area? Or family emergency?
The larger machines are $5 to wash, smaller units are $3.50, and drying is about 25 cents for 15 minutes.
