Had an excellent time at stampede. September is kind of the off season and basically we had the lake to ourselves. That is 31 other Sailors and myself we had a Regatta there put on by the Tahoe laser Fleet it was great weekend

U.S. taxpayers BLM have done a marvelous job here. Great campsites. Fresh running clean mountain water. Basic, whole in the ground, bathroom's. Outstanding fishing in stocked lake. Only a few miles to freeway.

Some camp sites are near the water. Availability is limited as to early reservations. Reservation can be made 6 months in advance.
