Comfort Suites At Par 4 Resort

I have been coming to Waupaca every summer for many, many years. At first, we used to stay at the Village Inn (now an EconoLodge). Then we would stay at the pricier, but more upscale, Ramada (Best Western, Grand Seasons, whatever it's been called over the years). However, the Ramada has really gone downhill, and fast. We had never stayed at the Comfort Suites before, so we arranged to stay there. I had reserved a block of rooms for a summer camp reunion this past spring. They were so enamoured with our story that they gave us a fantastic rate! We had the best time there! We frequented the nearby Par 4 Resort bistro and bar, and enjoyed our free breakfast every day. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Will DEFINITELY stay there again!

We had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. We booked a room in mid-January. The last day we could cancel was 7 days prior to check-in. The last day we could cancel they sent us a surprise contract to sign because we were part of a youth sports team. We did not see the email until the next day and were not comfortable with signing it. So we decided to cancel and make other arrangements. They refused to give us all our money back and charged us a $147 one night stay fee. They said they felt the contract was reasonable. We are not disputing the contract itself but the fact that they did not present it the day of booking or within a reasonable time so we could cancel without being charged. We talked to the front desk, the manager and the parent company. Choice hotels agreed with us but was not able to give us a refund. It has to come from the hotel. I am really shocked at this kind of customer service and would not recommend booking a room here.

We got a room with 2 queen-sized beds. They were clean, comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep. We even had a small sitting area between the beds and the bathrooms. Had a mini-fridge as well. There was a good swimming pool and small workout room. This is basically "on the golf course" - so that might be a reason people stay there. We were looking for something reasonably priced with a room for 3 adults and we got it. Solidly what you expect from a Comfort Inn. No frills, yet nothing to complain about. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. Limited items of course, but it worked fine.
