I have a six foot long 1 1/4" heavy gauge copper pipe. What is it's scrap value and would you take it?

They will take it. Depends on the grade of the copper. If its clean copper, no paint no solder it could be worth 2.10 a pound or more, lower grade 1. 95 a pound.
