I am a lifelong resident of Howell. At the recycling center a few weeks ago one of my trailer wheels began to come off because the lug-nuts were improperly installed resulting in a dangerous and inoperable trailer. Because half the Lug-nuts wore through the tire rim this wasn’t a matter of just tightening them to solve the problem. The solution was a more complicated, laborious and time-consuming process which I began to try on my own. Within minutes of the two Township employees REESE and JASON observing my situation they immediately came to my rescue. They spent hours helping me resolve the situation while still attending to their duties at the center. Because of their efforts above and beyond their duties I tried to give them a substantial tip which they refused. These two courteous, helpful, hard-working young man are what you will find at the Howell Township recycling center. George Chehanske

Nice that Howell has a recycling program. We drove up, checked in with someone at the entrance to tell them what we have and our address (Howell residents only). He directed us how to sort our stuff and left us to unload our car. In and out in 5 mins.

Yes. I’ve never taken an entire trailer of just stumps, but anytime I’ve dropped a tree I take every part of it there in one big load.
I'm not sure, but during spring clean up, all house junks are placed at the curbs for pick-up. Check with the township for the schedule.
