Depending on what you're looking for, about a mile east you will find McDonald's, Hardees, and a Kentucky Fried Chicken. A little further you can eat at a restaurant with full array of vegetables and meats. Also, if you want to nake a day at the museum, tell the person up front that you want to go to lunch and they will let you return after your meal for no additional charge....and for dessert, there is an ice cream parlor almost directly across the street from the museum. The 1st Fri of the month is usually free & they stay open later. I'd call ahead to be sure before going (I believe it's Duke Power who sponsors the free Fri & they told me one time on phone as long as they are sponsored they'll keep doing free Fri)
