I was recently at a wedding and the venue itself was great. I was thoroughly upset for the bride due to her being stress with the lady that coordinated the event area. They had a deal to have an open bar all night no cost. This was even written in a contract. When we got to the cocktail hour, they were charging us then the mother of the bride corrected them. Then went on to say after dinner, they will charge. Finally, the bride had to step up and confront the lady. Granted, this lady was very unprofessional...wearing clothing that was not fitting for her job. Not sorry for this review. Terrible customer service.

They thought of everything - except breakfast. Our room was wonderful, bed was great, pillows great, room was clean- the carpet might have been brand new. The room had nice a nice variety of pods for the Keurig, refrigerator, electric plugs were easy to access. The shower was heavenly; it had some kind of special shower head that made the water feel like a massage. Even the hair dryer was great (an often over looked necessity for people with thick hair.) The lobby was beautiful! Right away you're greeted with a welcoming hospitality statement above the fireplace and you're invited to rub the nose of a boar statue for good luck- super fun! There were snack for cats and dogs on the check-in counter. Everything gave the impression that they had thought of every possible thing, until breakfast. When I got down stairs for breakfast at 8:30am they had run out of juice. There were signs up that employees could heat up a breakfast burrito, or Kellogg Eggo buttermilk Pancakes (one package per guest please.) They had the standard bagels, english muffins, toast, and oatmeal. I asked an employee to get me a cup of water, as there no drinks, not even water available. For me, the problem was that the entire rest of my experience at the hotel had been so good, that I assumed breakfast was going to be good as well. So I was disappointed, which is why I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Everything but breakfast was a 5 star experience for me.

Everything was nice and clean. Rooms were updated. Great view. Beds were super comfy. Pool was closed but it looked nice. Staff was friendly. Lots of comments about the continental breakfast. The basics were available: Bread, cereal, oatmeal, coffee etc. Nothing exciting. I would say if you need the breakfast maybe spend the money you saved staying here and go get some proper breakfast. Never smelled any smoke of any kind. I stayed for 2 nights on weekdays. I could see how if there were a gathering in the event center it could get loud in the evening from people going back and forth at the hotel. I personally never travel without ear plugs. I think if you have realistic expectations of a hotel at this price point you will not be disappointed. I would definitely stay here again.

Positive: The beds were comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Staff was nice and accommodating. We had a nice stay. We left a shirt in the hotel and they called us quickly so we could come back to get it. Awesome service!!
