Great motel with the best customer service I've seen. We had a large group, booked every room, and he took care of everything that we could've needed. The rooms were very comfortable and he even had coolers for our beers since we were on bikes.

Loved the bit of a vintage feel. Keurig coffee makers in the rooms very much appreciated. Rooms were clean and simply appointed. The owners, FABULOUS! Kind and helpful...very thoughtful of their guests. We plan on staying here any time we are up by Elizabeth / Galena. Highly recommend!!!

FANTASTIC PLACE, SERVICE AND CLEANLINESS! Owners Andy and Joyce are very wonderful people. Providing a nice beverage upon arrival. Personally catering to all guests including motorcyclists. Great views of the rolling hills and mountains. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home! Would give 10 stars if i could. If you're in the area, definitely stay with them, you will not regret it! Thank you for your great hospitality!!!

I’ve been staying at The View for 16 years. It is an old school, charming, and extremely clean and well kept Mom and Pop motel. My wife and I stay there whenever we’re in the Galena area for our weekend getaways. We also stay there for get togethers with friends for motorcycle runs through the scenic roads in the area. We also stay there for shopping trips or just to enjoy scenic rides or local activities. It’s beautiful and many do not know how beautiful the rolling hills and valleys really are in the Elizabeth and Galena area. The View is a great place to stay for those that value cleanliness, reasonable rates, and above and beyond hospitality. Many of us enjoy visiting in the evening around the fire and listening to music as we meet new friends and visit again with others we’ve met before. Andy and Joyce continuously upgrade, improve, and maintain their motel. They truly take pride in their business and seem more than happy to go the extra mile for their customers. We are just now finishing the last couple of days of our cross country motorcycle trip Sunday and Monday night at The View before we head back home.
